Dong Energy’s team will host two “Meet the Buyer” exhibitions about the supply chain opportunities for Burbo Bank Extension Offshore Wind Farm.

The events will provide an opportunity to meet senior members of Dong Energy’s procurement and project teams to discuss opportunities that may exist in the next stages of the Burbo Bank Extension project. Local suppliers could potentially assist with construction and operation works and services, either directly to Dong Energy or as subcontractors to direct suppliers.

If constructed, the project would generate enough electricity to power over 170,000 homes. In total it is estimated that 775 jobs could be created in the UK during the construction period, with 200 of these in North Wales and North West England. In the expected 25 year operational lifetime of the project, 155 jobs could be created in the UK, with 55 of these in North Wales and North West England.

The events will be held as follows:

Wednesday 7th May 12.00 – 16.00 The Beaches Hotel, Beach Road East, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, LL19 7LG

Thursday 8th May 12.00 – 16.00 Floral Pavillion, Marine Promenade, New Brighton, Wirral, CH45 2JS
