WeSubsea Appoints Frontier Subsea as Canada Distributor

WeSubsea and Frontier Subsea have reached an agreement that will allow WeSubsea to deliver their equipment and services to the Canadian subsea market through Frontier Subsea.

Atlantic Canada is characterized by iceberg prone waters, challenging sea states, long winters and increasingly deep drilling locations resulting in a harsh operating environment similar to the North Sea. The activity offshore Atlantic Canada has undergone tremendous growth and continues to accelerate with potential opportunity and future challenging developments as more significant oil discoveries are being made and offshore exploration continues.

Frontier Subsea will act as Canadian contacts and distribution for WeSubsea’s equipment and services. Frontier Subsea is a locally owned and operated company based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, which is at the heart of Atlantic Canada’s oil and gas industry and currently undergoing significant growth in its subsea infrastructure and assets. Frontier Subsea have a proven track record providing clients and operators with project delivery & management, design and construction support, offshore installation, IRM program management and operational support. Through collective experience the company’s engineers and project managers have helped to develop subsea systems from early conceptual stages through to offshore installation in the harsh North Atlantic environment. Frontier Subsea is focused on providing innovative cost effective solutions based on the local knowledge and technical experience of its employees.

WeSubsea’s dredger technology and subsea equipment have been well received by the subsea industry and the company is an leading supplier for subsea contractors. WeSubsea have in record time established themselves in the oil capitals of Kristiansund, Norway and Aberdeen, UK, as well as forming strong partnerships. To further ensure the quality of WeSubsea’s products and services, and to have greater proximity to customers and the market, and by this cooperation WeSubsea is now getting a foothold in the Canada marketplace as well.

The agreement with WeSubsea helps to strengthen and diversify Frontier’s portfolio and the ability to provide its Atlantic Canadian customers with proven technology and market leading solutions.
