Baker Hughes Incorporated announced today that the international rig count for April 2014 was 1,349, up 4 from the 1,345 counted in March 2014, and up 48 from the 1,301 counted in April 2013.
The international offshore rig count for April 2014 was 329, down 5 from the 334 counted in March 2014, and down 2 from the 331 counted in April 2013.
The average U.S. rig count for April 2014 was 1,835, up 32 from the 1,803 counted in March 2014, and up 80 from the 1,755 counted in April 2013. The average Canadian rig count for April 2014 was 204, down 245 from the 449 counted in March 2014, and up 51 from the 153 counted in April 2013.
The worldwide rig count for April 2014 was 3,388, down 209 from the 3,597 counted in March 2014, and up 179 from the 3,209 counted in April 2013.
