At Breakbulk Europe 2014, taking place from May 13 to 15, three BLG LOGISTICS’ divisions – Cargo Logistics, High & Heavy Logistics and WindEnergy Logistics – will be present at the VIA BREMEN joint pavilion.

The Neustädter Port, operated by BLG Cargo Logistics, is Europe’s largest breakbulk and heavy cargo terminal, a highly desirable location, not only for shippers but also, to an ever increasing extent, for customers that manufacture large equipment. BLG Cargo Logistics has already assembled items weighing 800 tons right at the water’s edge at the Neustädter Hafen. Once they have been loaded on heavy cargo ships, the units move from Bremen to all the world.

BLG’s “High & Heavy” also deals with massive and heavy loads at the car terminal in Bremerhaven. Tractors, construction machines, locomotives, helicopters, yachts – these and similar demanding loads are handled by BLG at its ro – ro terminal. BLG in Bremerhaven has the required equipment for units weighing several hundred tons.

Operating as the “Offshore Terminal ABC-Peninsula”, a part of the car terminal has recently established itself as the starting point for the installation of offshore wind parks. BLG’s still-young WindEnergy Logistics division specializes in transporting, transshipping and interim storage of components for offshore wind parks and develops innovative logistics concepts along the entire supply chain.

Qualified dockworkers and high-performance equipment are on hand at this terminal, available not only to the offshore wind industry, but the entire heavy equipment industry, too. The spectrum of services for BLG WindEnergy Logistics also includes engineering work important to industry, in order to develop for its customers – worldwide – concepts specific to the products.
