The first of the ‘second generation’ of Carbon Fibre SWATHs from Danish Yachts is nearing completion and will be soon placed into the water for initial sea trials.

The fifth SWATH (four SWATHs were delivered in 2013), designed and built by Danish Yachts, has been further enhanced and developed in order to keep her at the forefront of the offshore wind industry.

Her entire structure has been optimized, which has led to a further weight reduction of just under 15% compared to the original design, improving fuel efficiency, range and the speed of this second generation SWATH.

A new wheelhouse configuration has also been designed to allow for a better view when landing against the wind turbines.
