Ferguson Group is expanding its reach in South East Asia, forming a new partnership in Vietnam with local company New World Logistics JSC, operating out of bases in Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, Haiphong and Hanoi.

Vietnam, which is estimated to have the second highest level of oil reserves in the region, is viewed as a key market for the Group, which has a number of successful partnerships in the area.

Simon De Koning is the Business Unit Manager of Ferguson Singapore. He has extensive experience within the region and has long recognised the value of a partnership in Vietnam.

Simon De Koning said: “We are delighted to have signed this agreement with New World Logistics. Vietnam is an important market for us, and we are looking forward to being the preferred DNV accredited offshore container and module rental partnership there.”

Vietnam’s oil production is currently focused on fields off its southern coast in the South China Sea. Many recent discoveries have been made in remote and challenging waters or within complex geological conditions. Initially, New World Logistics will be supplying the full range of Ferguson CCU’s with plans to offer the full scope of Ferguson products in due course in line with customer demand.

Ferguson Group’s DNV 2.7-1/EN 12079 product range adapts well to use in the most challenging of environments and the DNV accreditation means that they are robustly made and well maintained. This makes good business sense as it ensures the containers are efficient, can be easily manoeuvred, stacked and inspected and with added safety features to minimise risk.
