Gas Natural Fenosa, through its distribution affiliate Gas Natural Distribución, will invest 511,000 euros to bring its gas supply to the district of Sant Miquel de Balenyà, part of the municipality of Seva (Barcelona).

In the next few weeks, the energy company will begin construction work on a gas pipeline of nearly one kilometre, which will enable it to supply gas to households in Sant Miquel de Balenyà starting in September this year.

The Mayor of Seva, Èric Vila, and the Inland Barcelona delegate of Gas Natural Distribución, Carlos Navarro, presented the gas supply project, which will begin by converting the existing propane installations and equipment of 92 homes so that they can use natural gas.

From September, the company will start work on expanding the supply network, with 270 homes expected to have access to the service in 2015.
