Olympic Shipping Orders New IMR Vessel from Kleven

Olympic Shipping has entered into a new contract with Kleven Verft AS for building of a IMR vessel with MT 6021 MK2 design. The MK2 design is a further development of the MT 6021 design. This contract further confirms Olympic’s market position as one of the leading ship owners in the subsea segment.

Olympic Shipping has entered into a new contract with Kleven Verft AS for building of a IMR vessel with MT 6021 MK2 design.

The MK2 design is a further development of the MT 6021 design. This contract further confirms Olympic’s market position as one of the leading ship owners in the subsea segment. The investment is approx. NOK 450 mill and delivery of the vessel will be in June 2015.

The design by Marin Teknikk AS is new and developed in cooperation with Olympic, with high focus on efficient and environmental friendly solutions.

The vessel is equipped with 80 metric ton offshore crane, ROV hangars, and accommodation capacity of 80 people.

The sister-vessel with MT 6021 design with delivery in March 2015, has been signed to a contract with Bibby Offshore for 3 years with options for an additional 3 years.
