The BLG LOGISTICS Group will present its know-how from 11 to 12th of June at the RenewableUK exhibition in Glasgow.

BLG has developed innovative logistics concepts for the wind energy industry via its BLG Wind Energy Logistics business. The Wind Energy Logistics division specializes in transporting, transshipping and interim storage of components for offshore wind parks and develops innovative logistics concepts along the entire supply chain.

The UK, with over 1,000 offshore wind turbines and a total capacity of almost 3,700 MW, is the world’s largest pioneer in the use of offshore wind energy and as such is an interesting market for BLG.

Several zones for the construction of offshore wind farms are planned in the North Sea, the Irish Sea and the English Channel. By 2020, the installed capacity is expected to increase to 25 GW.
