Nick Segredakis Diving Ltd, a specialist in underwater services, and USM Group Ltd have concluded cooperation agreement and are starting to carry out LiquiBurst cleaning in Greece.

LiquiBurst Underwater Cleaning Technology – is the unique solution which enables to carry out underwater cleaning without any mechanical or high-pressure contact to the surface. Equipment embodied under LiquiBurst brand assures the speed of cleaning in excess of 2,000sq/m per hour, which puts its speed features in the same row with the most performant underwater tools using conventional, contact (brushes) way of cleaning.

Low-pressure way of cleaning together with absolute absence of any mechanical impact to the surface is the next and long step ahead to prolong effective life of ship’s coating and reduce harmful to the environment consequences of cleaning. Using only outboard sea-water supplied to begin with 120 bar to the device, LiquiBurst devices destroy water’s integrity and discharge low-pressure, vapor saturated diver-friendly jet. Such a jet has impact only on highly poriferous objects, such as any type of fouling, concrete etc. Meanwhile smooth and elastic surfaces, such as ship’s coatings, silicon, human skin, rubber glove and others are left safe and unaffected.

“I didn’t believe that this can be true, until USM Group staff came to demonstrate the equipment in Piraeus. Diver placed his hand against the wall and cleaned 2 years old barnacles and mussels through his spread fingers… it took him seconds to complete a spot so we see a surface. This moment I decided that we are in,” says George Savvidis from NSD Ltd .

Such an alliance will enable NSD Ltd to finally have an answer to “And what about coating?” which is the client’s most common question in regard to underwater cleaning.

For USM Group Ltd, who is also starting LiquiBurst services in Singapore to begin with June 2014, this partnership is a logical step forward in introducing LiquiBurst Cleaning to the worldwide shipping audience.

Start of LiquiBurst operations in Greece and equipment arrival are scheduled for close near future.

Nick Segredakis Diving Ltd, a specialist in underwater services for over 25 years, will be exhibiting at Posidonia 2014 at Stand 1.528 – Hall No. 1.
