Rem Offshore Orders $133 Mln OCV from Vard

Rem Offshore ASA has entered into a newbuilding contract for one OCV (Offshore Construction Vessel) at Vard. Rem Offshore ASA has entered into a newbuilding contract for one OCV (Offshore Construction Vessel) at Vard.

The vessel is of the Vard 2 06 design with overall length of 100 meters and a beam of 25 meters. The vessel will be equipped with a 150 ton offshore crane, ROV hangar, prepared for A-frame and accommodation for 90 people.

The vessel will be winterized with also ICE 1B hull and so specially designed for the climate in the arctic areas. The vessel will be used for project work including anchor handling as a part of the vessels capacity. The bollard pullwill be approx. 400 ton.

Delivery from yard will be 1st quarter 2016. The building cost for the vessel is approx.$133.3 million.
