Ndurance Arrives at Gwynt y Môr OWF

Ndurance, Boskalis’first ‘N Class’ cable-laying vessel, is expected to arrive at Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm site today. Ndurance, Boskalis’first ‘N Class’ cable-laying vessel, is expected to arrive at Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm site today.

The vessel will conduct cable laying operations in the eastern part of Gwynt y Môr.

The nearby vessels are required to observe a 500m safety zone around the Ndurance.

Gwynt y Môr OWF will consist of 160 turbines and it’s being built by RWE Innogy UK in Liverpool Bay, off the North Wales coast.

Once operational, Gwynt y Môr will have an installed capacity of 576MW, using Siemens 3.6MW turbines and generators. It will be capable of generating enough energy to meet the average annual energy needs of around 400,000 homes.
