Trade sources have said that the Sakhalin II LNG export plant will award a sell tender for three cargoes soon. Cargoes will be loaded in August and September, Reuters reports.

Long-term buyers and stakeholders in the projects have been offered the chance to buy the cargoes and not the wider market, and one of the sources said that the tender, launched last week will probably be awarded this week.

Gazprom owns 50% share in Sakhalin II, with Shell owning 27.5%, Mitsui 12.5% and Mitsubishi Corp subsidiary Diamond Gas 10%.
