Alicat Workboats Ltd. has delivered ‘Gardian 14’ to Gardline Environmental. The Alicat 20m catamaran has already sailed from Great Yarmouth to work alongside her 4 sister vessels already working on the Gwynt Y Mor offshore wind farm project.

The vessel, which can carry 12 technicians alongside 3 crew members, is fitted with Caterpillar C32 main engines driving fixed pitch propellers. Capable of travelling at speeds of 30knts this proven craft has continued to be a big hit amongst operators and passengers alike due to its reliability, performance in harsh conditions, and passenger comfort.

Coastal Service business manager Michael Martins commented: “Having thoroughly researched the competition we once again have chosen an Alicat as our preferred vessel as they are proven to be our clients vessel of choice. With passenger comfort, speed and reliability in harsh conditions make these vessels a major asset to the end user. This vessel will be added to the existing fleet of over 10 vessels with potentially more vessels being added to the fleet later in the year.”

Alicat Workboats Business Development Manager David Blake said: “We are delighted that Gardline Environmental has once again chosen Alicat to supply their latest crew transfer vessel. The vessel has gone straight to work and has demonstrated Gardline’s commitment to being one of the leading operators in this sector.”
