80 Pct of Costa Concordia Sponsons Installed

According to the Parbuckling project site, 14 out of 15 sponsons have been installed on Costa Concordia’s starboard side. According to the Parbuckling project site, 14 out of 15 sponsons have been installed on Costa Concordia’s starboard side.

The installation of the final 15th side sponson S1 is expected to be concluded today.

The total number of sponsons to be installed on the starboard side and on the port side of Costa Concordia is 19.

After the completion of the starboard side, operations will continue to place the last 4 sponsons on the sea side.

Before the parbuckling began, a number of 11 sponson were installed on the site.
