Ulstein’s Power & Control area has been awarded the pre-commissioning contracts for all four PX121 designed PSVs under construction at SWS Offshore for Pacific Radiance.

The pre-commissioning contracts include the connection, termination and testing of all signal cables on board. The China based company Ulstein Electrical Technology will be performing the pre-commissioning.

For all four vessels, Ulstein Power & Control has been awarded an extensive system and equipment package, including the complete bridge equipment (navigation, radar, radio/communication and bridge alarm system), integrated automation system, power distribution and propulsion. The final of the four vessels is scheduled for delivery in Q4 2015.

The PX121 design meets the typical PSV requirements with a fuel efficient and competitive combination of loading capacity, speed and discharge capability. Summary of feedback from the vessels in operation is improved regularity, low fuel consumption and a pleasing work place, which is a credit to ULSTEIN X-BOW®’s hull characteristics as well as the proven machinery and outfitting solutions. Solid and smart integration of electrical and control systems is essential to achieve profitable offshore operations.

Ulstein’s Power & Control area offers complete system integration to the international market for vessels built world-wide. Their system deliveries consist of main equipment & systems, such as complete systems for bridge, power plant, propulsion and integrated automation systems.
