A dredging project worth $20 million in the Bayou Lafourche could start in early 2015.

As Bayou Lafourche Freshwater District executive director said, the project, second of this type in the last four years, could last between 16 and 18 months.

As katc reports, the goal of the project is to increase water flow of Mississippi River into the bayou.
