The first phase of Zhuhai Guishan Offshore Wind Farm has moved forward by selecting Shanghai Taisheng Wind Power Equipment Co. as the provider of steel jacket foundations.

The company will build 27 four-legged jacket foundations for offshore wind turbines off Guangdong province, China, which are expected to become operational by the end of this year. The wind farm will feature 3MW super compact drive wind turbine generators from China Ming Yang Wind Power.

Overall capacity of the Zhuhai Guishan Offshore Wind Farm demonstration project will amount to 198MW, once completed.

The project will use different types of foundations, thus some of its wind turbines will be sitting on monopile foundations as well.
