The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Portland District has awarded South Coast Clamshell Maintenance Dredging contract to a Vancouver Washington based Marine contractor, HME Construction, Inc.

The contract will include work at Charleston, Winchester Bay, Port Orford, Yaquina Bay, and Rogue River located on the Oregon Coast. Total estimated value of the contract is approx. $3.3 million.

The anticipated scope of this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 50,000 cubic yards of material with placement in a dredged material disposal site.

Established in 1985, HME Construction, Inc. began primarily as a marine service provider to all major transportation companies, Ports and private facilities on the Columbia, Willamette, and Snake River system. The company has the experience, equipment and trained personnel to tackle the most complex Marine Construction and Dredging requirements for all major waterways.
