A topside destined for Phase 12 of South Pars gas field in southern Iran has been lifted for delivery.
The lifting was carried out on Monday at Khorramshahr Yard in southwestern Iran in the presence of senior officials.
The topside has been designed and constructed by Iran’s Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) engineers.
The 3,250-ton topside is to be installed within a week.
When platforms A, B and C of Phase 12 of South Pars become operational, Iran’s gas output will rise by 62.5 mcm. Topsides are under construction for other phases of South Pars, the massive offshore gas field shared by Iran and Qatar.
