The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is soliciting for a construction contract for Maintenance Dredging at Detroit River, Michigan.
The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following:
Mobilize dredge to Lake Erie, MI. and dredge the areas specified by the Government. Discharge of water from the overflow weir of Cell #3 at Pt. Mouillee CDF to the Detroit River shall be maintained by the Contractor during dredging activities. Water samples will be collected at the overflow weir, stored and analyzed by the Government.
Additionally, the Contractor shall monitor discharges from the Cell #3 to verify that they do not have any unnatural or unusual characteristics. Final pay yardage will be determined by prior to dredging soundings and after dredging construction surveys.
The material within the required dredging prism consists primarily of material that has shoaled since the last time the area was dredged.
The contractor period of performance end date has decreased by 40 days from 120 days to 80 days.
