The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company Limited, Maritime Centre, Port of Liverpool has issued a tender for port infrastructure works that could be worth up to £40 million.

The tender says that contractor is to provide infrastructure and ancillary works including further development of all necessary design works for construction purposes, supply and install approved ISPS fencing and supply and installation of specified CCTV system.

Improvement works to the existing port infrastructure, surfacing works of the container storage and quayside areas, surface works of success roads and loading lanes and crane rails and associated foundations are included in the project.

The tender is part of a £300 million Liverpool2 investment program that will create the most central deep water container terminal in Great Britain and will offer companies ship-to-door access to the majority of UK consumers.

Deadline for expressions of interest is July 15th 2014.
