UTEC operated vessel “Yardie Creek” is nearing completion of major AUV pipeline survey campaign off the NW coast of Australia.
The vessel is equipped with subsea positioning and 2 x 1000 metre rated AUVs fitted with multibeam, side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler and magnetometer.
The spread will be available fully mobilised on the North West Shelf in mid-July.
UTEC Survey announced in May that it had doubled its AUV fleet to four autonomous underwater vehicles due to a global upturn in demand for AUV services. The company now operates a fleet of four identically equipped 1000m-rated AUV systems.
