After delivering buoyancy modules for the Phase 1 of the Cyprus water supply project, Trelleborg was selected for the second phase of the 80 kilometer long Mediterranean Subsea Water Pipeline.

Believed to be a world-first, the Mediterranean Subsea Water Pipeline will be installed 250 meters below the water level. The reliability and efficiency of Trelleborg bend restraints, used to restrain the bend of the structure at key points along the pipe, was key to the project.

Treleborg’s team of expert engineers and applicators, paid particular attention to safe handling, planning and good communications to keep the project running smoothly.
