According to the latest notice from the Marine Department of Hong Kong, dredging works in the Kwai Tsing Container Basin have been scheduled for the next 18 months.

The works will be carried out by a grab dredger. Also on the scene will be a tug and two self-propelled split-hopper barges, assisting the operations. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A safe working area of approximately 100 metres by 100 metres will be established around the grab dredger. The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
