USA: Loxahatchee River Dredging Kicks Off

The Loxahatchee River dredging program has officially commenced, according to waterwayguide.com.

The contractor, Cavache Inc., has started dredging operations with their dredger “LIL MONICA” at the Sims Creek Channel Extension and a portion of the South Channel Extension of the Loxahatchee River, south and southwest of the Loxahatchee River Aquatic Preserve in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The dredger will be disposing of material via floating, submerged and landward pipelines the disposal area is the (DMMA) located landward south of the Sims Creek Channel Extension.

The Loxahatchee River dredging project will continue on a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week basis until September 30, 2014.
