Osiris has announced its third successful multi-year contract win at Arish Mell. The contract sees Osiris enter into their 12th successive year involved with effluent waste water pipe by being responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the pipeline.

The Arish Mell pipeline begins at Research Sites Restoration Ltd (RSRL) in Winfrith. Built in the 1950s as a nuclear research facility, the pipeline runs through Lulworth Ranges, part of a military training area run by the MoD, to the coast line. There are two pipelines which extend approximately 3.5km from the shoreline into the English Channel.

The contract awarded includes a wide-ranging scope of work covering shoreline and offshore inspection, repair and maintenance. One of the specific contractual requirements was the ability to operate and manage specialist ROV equipment to inspect the entire pipeline from the offshore diffusers to the beach burial point.

As a specialist subsea engineering company, Osiris has enjoyed continued success with the Arish Mell contract through the delivery of efficient project management and engineered solutions, which required the application of Osiris’ experience and ingenuity in challenging conditions. This commitment underpins the relationship established over the previous eleven years on-site.

Osiris managing director, Aiden West , commented by saying: “We’re delighted to have won the third consecutive re-tendering of the work for Arish Mell. It allows us to develop our existing skills on a project where we have an excellent working relationship with the client.”
