The grab hopper dredger “Italeni” last week arrived in Durban on her maiden voyage from the Bulgarian shipyard where she was constructed.

She will replace the aging grab hopper dredger “Crane”, which has recently been equipped with a new grab crane that will now be transferred to “Italeni”.

The dredger was built by IHC Merwede (now Royal IHC) at the shipyard of their partner MTG Dolphin in Varna, Bulgaria.
