Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and head of the executive council of the Suez Canal Corridor Project Mohab Mamish said that the name of the consortium that wins drawing up the Suez Canal Corridor Project’s blueprint would be announced within this week.

He pointed out that the measures to choose that consortium were transparently made. He added that the executive council of the Project would conclude the contract with the consortium to meet the required conditions of the project.

Mamish noted that the consortium was chosen by a French consultant firm suggested by the World Bank, adding that they chose a French consultant firm because there is no French consortium vying for the project.

He went on to say that the expected revenues of the new Suez Canal and corridor project would hit some $100 billion.
