U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has awarded $2.3 million worth Atchafalaya Basin Protection Levee contract to a company from Belle Chasse, LA.

The work consists of clearing and vegetation removal, demolition, straddle levee lift enlargement, reinforced concrete floodwall construction, placement of steel sheet piling and H-piling.

Also included in the project are access road construction and ramp relocation works, asphalt pavement, placement of scour protection, turf establishment, and other related incidental work.
