Grid operator in Germany, TenneT, is seeking contractor to conduct an unexploded explosive ordnance (UXO) survey, identification and removal on the cable route BorWin3 in the German sector of the North Sea.

The planned BorWin3 submarine cable connection is a DC power transmission link with a length of 130 km.

Landfall is at Hamswehrum in Germany from where the route crosses German territorial waters and the German EEZ, before it ends at a planned substation in the North Sea (German EEZ), called BorWin gamma.

The route provides a wide variety of morphological features and water depths between -1.5m to 40m relative to lowest astronomical tide (LAT).
