SEA CHALLENGER ‘s first job – installation of 35 Siemens 6MW turbines at Westermost Rough offshore wind farm, has begun. The first 3 turbines have been installed.
Delivered in March 2014, the new vessel has been optimised to operate at depths of up to 60 metres depending on tide and penetration, making it well suited to installing upcoming offshore wind projects in Northern Europe.
The Westermost Rough offshore wind farm is expected to be fully commissioned in the first half of 2015.
