ETTU, a specialist in productivity-enhancing solutions SharePoint and Office 365, has implemented a new intranet for Van Oord, an international contractor in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects.
The new intranet implemented is based on Office 365 (SharePoint Online) and Microsoft Azure.
Of the 4,500 employees, approximately 2,500 of them are on ships and locations worldwide. Van Oord realized the new intranet to increase the potential for internal communication and to make the knowledge and information available centrally.
With the new intranet, Van Oord employees can easily access all digital information, including the fleet of more than a hundred ships. Besides standard intranet, there are also some new applications, including a map showing the position and additional information about all Van Oord ships.
