TSC Group Holdings Limited and Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited (“CIMC Raffles”) entered into an agreement for TSC to provide BOP POD Transport Skids for two D90 semi-submersible drilling platforms (H1277, H1278).
Moreover, TSC also signed an agreement to provide CIMC Raffles’ Norshore Pacific drillship project with a Moon Pool Door.
The D90 semi-submersible drilling platform is a 6th generation Frigstad design. The platform is capable of operating in water depths of over 3,000 meters, which is currently one of the deepest depths for semi-submersibles. The Norshore Pacific drillship is a North Sea riserless drilling unit, capable of drilling in water depths of up to 3,000 meters. The DNV classed drillship will be deployed to the Arctic Ocean.
Currently, the global offshore drilling trend has moved towards exploring deeper waters. TSC’s UK Rig Mech. business unit has designed and manufactured subsea handling equipment capable of deep-water operations. Notably, 24% of the world’s semi-submersible units are equipped with TSC equipment. TSC has made great strides toward the continuous improvement of its products, having recently enhanced designs for its Subsea Blowout Preventer (BOP) Handling, Christmas Tree Handling, and Riser Handling solutions.
In addition, the TSC Jacking & Rack BU (“TSC-ZZ”) received a bid-winning notice from Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group Marine Engineering Co., LTD. (DSIC”) for two 7 inch leg rack cutting orders. The leg rack will be featured on DSAJ – 400 jack-up platforms, which are a DSIC designed 400 feet jack-up. The ship owner of the newbuild platforms is CBI – MMEER Accommodations Ltd, and the hull numbers are DSAJ400-01 and DSAJ400-02, respectively.
