Marine Specialist Joins Partrac

Oceanographer, Chartered Scientist and Marine Scientist, Dr Joanna Ibrahim has joined the Partrac team as Marine Data Manager, whilst Dr Rachel Helsby starts maternity leave.

Joanna is a specialist in coastal engineering, coastal and estuarine sediment dynamics and environmental impact assessment (EIA) with 20 years’ experience primarily in coastal zone development, renewable energy, nuclear, and oil and gas industries.

Director, Sam Athey, said: “ Her skills and experience both complement and enhance the team whilst Partrac continues to develop as a lead marine data acquisition and consultancy expert in Europe.”

She joins Partrac having been Principal Oceanographer at Titan Environmental Surveys for the past 5 years, and previously Metoc (now Intertek). Joanna also spent 7 years as a lecturer of coastal engineering at the University of West Indies, Trinidad.
