Marine Assets Corporation has announced the successful launch by undocking of its 4th Compact SemiSub (CSS) named Themis at Fujian Mawei Shipyard, Fuzhou, SE. China.

Themis is following the launch of two other CSSs, Olympia and Venus.

To remind, the CSS Olympia was delivered by MAC Offshore to GranEnergia in January this year. The 84.25 meters long CSS Olympia is being used as a floating accommodation unit for rig personnel.

MAC has also informed that the CSS Venus, the 3rd CSS in the production schedule, has left for sea trials.

The CSS Themis will proceed to the jetty for final outfitting and start of commissioning, prior to sailing for sea trials towards the end of December.

Overall, MAC has a construction program for 7 CSSs, with Olympia already delivered and working in Brazil.

Venus and Themis will be delivered in December 14 and February 15. The three remaining units will be completed by September 15 – September 16 and May 17, respectively.

MAC has said it is now finalising orders for more in CSS vessels series.
