JGC Corporation said that it has been awarded a lump-sum turnkey contract from Japan Petroleum Exploration for the EPC work associated with an LNG receiving terminal in Soma, Japan.
JGC will take charge of all the engineering, procurement, and construction work for the project, excluding work on the LNG tanks and jetty.
The project is scheduled for completion in November 2017. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
This receiving terminal consists of an LNG tank (230,000 kL capacity), a dock for ocean-going ships, a shipping facility for coastal ships, an LNG vaporization facility, a shipping facility for tank lorries, and associated utilities.
