Advanced Navigation releases their subsea GPS antenna named Poseidon. Poseidon is a subsea GPS antenna that is designed for use on underwater vehicles that require the ability to obtain a GPS fix when surfaced.

The antenna is also suitable for marine vessels that are exposed to harsh conditions that are too extreme for a normal GPS antenna.

The antenna is lightweight, compact, corrosion resistant and able to withstand depths of up to 3000 metres. The antenna element design offers superior positioning performance over traditional helical subsea antenna designs, providing faster and more accurate position fixes with significantly better multipath and interference suppression.

Poseidon supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BeiDou navigation systems. With a weight of only 320 grams and a 316 stainless housing, it is ideal for a wide range of applications, from micro class to heavy-work class ROVs, AUVs and other subsea vehicles.

Key features:

•Depth rated to 3000m (300bar pressure); •Tracks GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and GALLILEO satellite navigation systems; •Compatible with all manufacturers GNSS receivers; •High precision antenna element provides industry leading fix accuracy and multipath performance; •Low profile and compact design suitable for all type of underwater vehicles.
