Noble Corporation has been awarded two short-term contract extensions for its Noble Driller semi-submersible drilling rig, offshore Louisiana.
The rig, operating in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, will stay with Marubeni Oil & Gas, but at reduced dayrate(s).
Noble has announced that the Noble Driller, previously working on a $415.000 dayrate, has begun its first part of the contract extension in mid-September, until mid-October at a dayrate of 240.000.
The dayrate will further drop to $225.000 when the second one month extension with Marubeni begins in mid-October until mid-November.
