Construction works on a multi-billion dollar new Suez Canal project are in full swing. This giant project will see the creation of a new Suez Canal parallel to the current channel of a total length of 72 kilometers.
Workers engaged in the new Suez Canal project are working 24/7 to complete the project within ambitious one-year deadline. At the moment 25% of digging work has been completed as approx. 20,000 cubic meters of soil is being dredged per day.
The New Suez Canal project will boost Egypt’s economy and help speed up the movement of vessels through the 193 km long canal, which connects the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
