Lundin Petroleum has spudded the Gobi-1 exploration well, with the Hakuryu-11 jack-up rig, in the Gurita Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”), Republic of Indonesia. Lundin Petroleum has spudded the Gobi-1 exploration well, with the Hakuryu-11 jack-up rig, in the Gurita Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”), Republic of Indonesia.

The well was spudded on October 13, 2014.

The well is currently in the process of running the 30” conductor to a depth at or around 205 meters Measured Depth.

The Gobi-1 is a wildcat oil exploration well designed to test the hydrocarbon potential of Oligocene and Early Miocene stacked fluvial sandstone reservoirs in a 3-way fault dependent structure in the Jemaja Basin.

On October 8, 2014, Lundin Petroleum has begun the mobilization of the Hakuryu-11 jack-up to the well location.
