On the 28th of October 2014, the Dutch Offshore Academy is organizing the seminar ‘Contracting in the Offshore Industry – recent developments’.

This seminar will take place during the Offshore Energy Exhibition in Amsterdam RAI. This seminar is organized with the corporation of IABLLC, Margetson Van ‘t Zelfde Lawyers, Offshore Independents, Intramar Insurances and Stephenson Harwood Solicitors.

It is powered by the Development Agency Noord-Holland Noord and the Port of Den Helder.

Different aspects of the international bribery laws will be discussed, with an emphasis on the UK Bribery Act 2010. How can contractors meet the requirements of modern anti-corruption laws? Do existing insurance policies offer full cover, or do risks remain uninsured?

How can you take the right measures to prevent litigation or prosecution at an early stage? These questions will be answered in four workshop sessions, led by Nigel Margetson of Margetson Van ‘t Zelfde & Co.

You can register on the website of Offshore Energy 2014 .

The seminar will be of interest to commercial managers, business developers, lawyers, risk and insurance managers, and any others who are involved or interested in contracts in the offshore energy industry.
