Since mid-2013 Periplus Consultancy is working with the Port of Rotterdam on the Maasvlakte 2 project regarding the construction of the Princess Alexiahaven and therein situated temporary berth for the Allseas vessel Pieter Schelte.

The preparatory work included designing 3D views, cross sections and volume calculations in order to realize the quays and basins. During the execution of the project by the company Bova (Boskalis/Van Oord), Periplus visualized the progress through the maps, cross sections and volume calculations.

Also, for the project Omlegging Zuidwillemsvaart (diversion of the existing channel between river Maas and Den Dungen), Periplus was contracted by WillemsUnie, a partnership between Van Hattem and Blankevoort, KWS Infra, GMB Civiel and Van den Herik.

For the project, Periplus supported contractor Van den Herik with the visualization of multibeam survey-data. The results were used for volume calculations and visualization of the dredging progress, as well as the amount of rock to be dumped for slope protection and the associated tolerances.
