Chubu Electric of Japan signed an agreement with France’s GDF Suez to buy 20 LNG cargoes.

This amounts to approximately 1.2 million tons of LNG between January 2015 and March 2017, Chubu said in a statement.

Part of the prices will be linked to Asia’s spot LNG market and the chilled gas will be sourced from GDF Suez’s portfolio of LNG projects around the world.
