AgustaWestland will deliver three AW139 intermediate twin helicopters to various Indonesian operators. The helicopters will be used to support the offshore oil and gas industry in Indonesia. They will be delivered in 2015 and 2016.
“The contracts add another customers in South East Asia for the bestselling AW139 expanding its success in Indonesia. The AW139 has become the helicopter of choice in its weights class for the transport of oil & gas workers around the world, with approximately 300 units in service or on order,” AgustaWestland said in a statement.
According to the company, over 800 AW139s have now been ordered worldwide by approximately 220 customers with more than 700 units already in service.
