The steel cutting ceremony for the new project, the 1.840 m3 twin screw trailing suction hopper dredger “Mahury”, will take place at MTG Dolphin on 25th of November 2014.

This is the second ship in series (after “Albatros”), being built by order of Royal IHC for Dutch Dredging.

The vessel will be capable of dredging with one trailing suction pipe up to depths of 30 meters, delivering the spoil either into the hopper, or directly overboard.

Main characteristics:

– Length: 75 m;

– Breadth: 13,40 m;

– Draft: 4,10 m;

– Hopper capacity: 1’840 m3.

Dutch Dredging, a medium size dredging company based in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands, is an independent private firm.
