Hilong Marine Engineering, a subsidiary of Hilong Hong Kong, has won a bid recently for the provision of offshore pipe-laying service to CNOOC China Limited in relation to Phase II of Weizhou Project, in Beibu Gulf in the South China Sea.

Hilong Hong Kong and CNOOC China have entred into a service contract on November 14, 2014 with a total contract value of US$29,8 million.

The provision of offshore pipe-laying service will be performed by Hilong 106, a company’s pipe-laying vessel. Hilong has taken delivery of the ‘Hilong 106’ pipelay derrick barge in September this year. The vessel was built by Shanghai Heavy Industries (Group) Co., Ltd. and purchased by Hilong in late December 2013.

According to Hilong, the service is expected to be completed by mid-July 2015.
