SeaBird Nets West Africa Seismic Deal

SeaBird’s vessel Harrier Explorer has signed a Letter of Award (LOA) for a 2D seismic survey in West Africa.

M/V Harrier Explorer joined SeaBird, a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data, after being converted to 2D-Source vessel in Netherlands in 2007.

The minimum survey size is 2,000 km with an estimated value of approximately USD 2 million.

The project is expected to start during November 2014 and will have an estimated duration of 20 days.

Earlier this year, another SeaBird vessel, Geo Pacific secured a 3D seismic in Gulf of Guinea, West Africa for approximately $11 million.
