Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) has reportedly taken delivery of the 154,800 cbm Amani, the fourth A-class membrane LNG tanker to join BGC’s fleet.

The company’s other three A-class fleet tankers are the 137,000 cbm Abadi and the Arkat and Amali, both with a capacity of 147,000 cbm.

The Amani, which was built by Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industry (HHI), will serve under a long-time charter to Brunei LNG.

Watson, Farley & Williams Asia Practice in Singapore advised BGC on a $170M Islamic financing facility, which was provided by a syndicate of financiers consisting of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Malaysia), HSBC and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe, according to a report by IHS Maritime.
