Singapore-based Hoidi International’s production division in China, will build legs for a COSL jack-up rig.
Hoidi’s Tianjin Hoidi Group Co. Ltd. will construct the legs for the Gusto MSC CJ50-X120-E designed rig. The rig, to be named HYSY944, will be built by China Merchat Heavy Industry for China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL)
The rig will have a maximum operating depth of 400ft and drilling depth of 30,000 ft. The legs will be made of a special grade steel that can sustain temperatures of -20°C.
Delivery of the HYSY944 jack-up rig is planned in 2016.
